Over the past month I’ve been collecting a few rusted items. I picked these pieces up in various places, mostly parking lots and empty fields. I’m not sure what it is about these rusted pieces that I find impossible to pass up. Maybe, that they silently tell a story? I wonder “how’d that get here in this field?”. These little pieces call to me to do something with them so I keep collecting, waiting for that muse to come out of hiding and guide me to putting these pieces together into a piece of art. I’m inspired by several artists… Nina Bagley, Michael DeMeng, and Keith LoBue to name a few. How do you feel about rusted old pieces? Trash or treasure? Leave me a message on the post to let me know you were here. I’d like to know your thoughts.
You may recognize the heart from an earlier post. I couldn’t resist adding it to the little cable box connector thing I found. What do you think about it?
