I love working with clients who “get” me. They know my style and are looking to have a piece made for a special occasion that reflects something deeper than just the surface design…in this case, a unique wedding keepsake to honor a couple and their promise to each other.
My clients are mothers, fathers and friends of the bride and groom. Through them I ask questions to get to know the couple a little better, how they met, how they engaged, how they enjoy spending their time and “who” they are. This allows me to dig a bit deeper and create a piece that is unique to them. Allowing me to share an inside joke or a secret between partners, it’s this connection that makes creating art so enjoyable.
The collage above shows a quick sketch and stages of my design process for the front and back of one of my recent wedding hearts. The colorw and words were requested by the client.
Have you ever had a custom art piece created for you? If so, what was it?
