Several people have signed up for my enchanting crowns class but Laura Reed was the first to send me examples of what she made in my class. Didn’t she do an excellent job? This image will be added to the student gallery on my website. If you’d like your crown picture added, please email me. I love seeing what you make.
Man, has this summer really gotten away from me. It’s gone by so fast. What about you?
Luckily I’ve found some time to do a little flower tending and I’ve been experimenting with some new things in the studio. Between sketching, painting, digital collaging, creating some transfers, helping friends and playing around with photoshop and xara it’s been a pretty full summer.
I was clipping flowers this morning. Looking closely at the little bugs and flowers I find and amazed how perfect nature is. The patterns, colors and the way every little petal is just precisely placed. God is most definitely an artist! 🙂
Oh! I don’t know if you know or not but after Anke won my encased heart, she decided to run a fundraiser for Kristen too! And she is giving away one of her art journals. Everyone who donates to kristens cause will be included in her drawing, which will be August 24th. You can read more about it on Anke’s blog.
I love being a part of the creative community. People caring about each other and helping each other out. It’s wonderful!
So readers, I’m considering creating a “freebie download” page on my website. What kinds of things would you like to see there? Some ideas that I have are some free goodies like collage sheets that you can download and use in your art, tutorials (pdfs & video), quick tips for the studio and things like that. What do you think? What would you like to see? Leave me a comment on my blog, I’d love to hear your ideas.
(I hope you downloaded the freebies from my last post, if not, get over there and download them!) 🙂
