Hello friends, I hope you're enjoying life right now. It's been a super busy summer but I am enjoying it.

Happy Summer

Hello friends! I hope you're doing great and having a fantastic year so far.

I've been really enjoying my summer this year. We've had some family excitement with our son and daughter and law searching and finding a new home. They've moved and are getting settled into their new place, yay. :) I've kept baby Melody a couple of times. Whew! It's amazing how much energy those little ones take but they are so much fun!

Xacto Tip

When I'm ready to switch my dull or broken blade with a new one, I use a red marker to color the blade. I remove it and stick it in a protective holder. At a quick glance I can tell which ones are new and which are old.

Charming embellishments

I love the details in these little vintage looking pieces. They're small. Perfect for adding to my hearts. IllI share how I incorporate them her. Wish me luck. ❤️

On my work table

What creative project have you been working on? This week I worked on a few Mother's day hearts using transfers. These are my practice pieces. I'll be adding more elements next. I'd like to know your opinion on

them. Or if you have other messages you think would be great. I'd love to hear them. Leave a message below. :)

This is a super quick video giving you some ideas for using my secret garden collection tools from createalong.

I'm demoing the stencil, cutter and stamp. Tim just got me a really early birthday present...a new microphone! So I added audio too! I hope you enjoy it.

Creativity is a funny thing isn't it? One minute ideas are flying out like there's no tomorrow, the next moment is quiet with no inspiration at all.

I've learned quiet- no inspriation at all - is a natural part of my creative process. Instead of being disturbed by it, I find other creative ways to spend my time. Generally, reading or learning about other art techniques or experimenting in a playful way with no real goal or outcome often helps me get back my mo-jo.

Here's a few tips to help you get your creative inspiration back.

Polymer Clay Guild visits so fun!

Goodness this month was so fun filled. Meeting new people and sharing our passion for polymer clay. I met with local polymer clay guilds in Colorado Springs and Denver to demo my new tools from Secret Garden and Romance collections. We had a great time. Karen, Stan, Carrie, Megan, Tina, Shelia, Caroline, Julie, Pam and Linda. (sorry if I didn't catch all your names) I look forward to visiting again this year.

March Polymer Guild visits

Sunday (March 11) I was invited to the Pikes Peak Polymer Clay guild to demo my CreateAlong polymer clay tools. I was reminded how much I enjoy interacting with polymer friends. Here's a few pictures for the day. I shared my techniques for working with silkscreens, stamps, cutters and transfers.  I'll be sharing again March 24th at the Mile High Polymer Clay Guild. If you're in the area stop by. The demo's are free.

Polymer clay friends, would you be interested in large pendant shaped transfers (8.5x11 sheet)? They transfer beautifully. I'm considering adding them to my online shop. Do you have other colors or shapes you'd like? Let me know in the comments. THANK YOU
